During the Victorian era, blue flowers were avoided for ball bouquets because they
did not look well under artificial light. If, as was often the case, flowers had to
match the dress and the dress were blue, ladies were advised to have flowers in a
lighter, rather than darker, shade of blue. For other dress colors, if the shade couldn't be
matched exactly to the flowers, it was better to have a similar lighter
shade of flower than a darker shade. When there was no limit on color, scarlet and
white flowers were most favored. |

Dear Brides,
As we embark on our 14th bridal season we would like you to read the attached note. Below is some information regarding the purchase of one of our Queen Bee bouquets. I have outlined a detailed description of how we preserve and construct each of our beautiful bouquets. As the lead designer I feel it's important each bride understand how her bouquet is made. We are the only company in the world with this amazing process we invented and patented it 14 years ago.
In the August / Sept issue of Modern Bride Magazine our Vintage bouquet was the editors top pick on their annual list of the best and most beautiful. Pages 456 Number 1 & Page 466 Number 43. The photos show each piece very clearly. We are featured in the Oct/Nov issue of Modern Bride the main spread and the Sept issue of Romantic Homes.
Couture Queen Bee bouquets
Our bouquets are so striking due to the raising and harvesting of organic blooms. We collect our seeds and bulbs from as far away as Wales, England, France and Italy. Choosing old favorite varieties. The flowers are individually picked, cooled and beeswax coated within moments to insure freshness. I like to call our blooms grandma's garden flowers the kind a fresh florist would never carry.
Each bouquet is signed with our hand blown glass queen bee; this is the mark of an original Immortal Floral Queen Bee bouquet.
The groom's boutonniere is included at NO charge. Each bout is created to compliment the bride's bouquet. We take great care making each bout a unique keepsake for the groom.
We use only real gems in the finest cuts and clarity in our Queen Bee bouquets. Selections include but are not limited to Citrine, aquamarines, blue topaz, amatrine, rose quartz, cubic zirconium, amethyst, rare pink amethyst, clear topaz, lemon citrine.
Pearls are selected by color, shape and sheen from all parts of the globe.
We specialize in vintage Swarovski crystals many from museum collections. Our collection includes rare crystals from the House of Dior. Occasionally we run across hand blown glass beads and antique buttons we can't resist.
Ribbons and trims are our love. We search the world over for stunning, one of a kind, antique and vintage ribbons. When we do use new ribbons they are the finest Midori satins, grosgrain and velvets.
Our preservation process is the first in mankind's history to successfully preserve bulb flowers including tulips, freesia, rannucula, jonquils, paper whites, Lily of the Nile, Siberian Iris, daffodils and more. Brides can now enjoy these seasonal flowers any time of year.
We strongly encourage our brides to order as early as you possibly can. We insist on 4 weeks but prefer longer. When we know what you desire months ahead we can search for flowers, gems, ribbons etc just to make your dream bouquet perfect. When we are rushed all we can use is what we have on hand. A fresh florist spends between 20-30 minutes making a bridal bouquet. At Immortal Floral we can easily spend 30-40 hours or more from start to finish on any bouquet.
All of our rounded and mounded bouquets are completely hand wired. The wired stems are concealed and finished with floral tape. This allows us to create the perfect shaped bouquet. It also allows us to pack far more flowers into a bouquet than a fresh florist ever could with the limitations of the natural stem. We don't know of any other floral designer in the country that will take this kind of time making a bouquet. Hand wiring a bouquet is a lost art form.
Each bouquet is a true work of art. Made to the bride's specifications a dream bouquet is created. We work closely with each bride learning her likes and dislikes. Everyone has a different personality. We strive to make sure each bouquet fits the bride's personality. The more we know about the wedding the better. Venue, color scheme, time of day, date, size of wedding, type of gown, bridesmaids gowns, swatches of fabrics, snapshot of bride during gown fitting, hairstyle, make up etc.
I hope this information helps you as the bride fully understand that buying an Immortal Floral Queen Bee bouquet is far more than purchasing a bridal bouquet for one a day it is piece of art to enjoy forever.
Congratulations on your engagement. Let us know what we can do to help.
Laura
